School’s back in session (doubly the disadvantage living in a college town like Tallahassee!) so, after I dropped my munchkin off, I settled in to do some schoolin of my own, figuring I’ll get it done early so I don’t have to fox with it later. As I was finishing, a thought crossed my mind and that led to a super long tangent that might just give ya’ll some insight into the awesome-ness that is me and my journeys through the educational system.
Before I get into the goodies, those of you who are regulars might notice that a lot of my music and video posts are missing. Fear not! They still exist! I just had to move them to a new secret location. Since Authentic Vision is getting off the ground, I’ve moved all that content over to the new site (via Facebook for now LOL) and this, eventually, will be my design/geek type blog only.
That being said, with the help of the oh so awesome MNTLPLX, I just whipped up Leaf Qwembi’s new logo!

If you’ve actually been paying attention, you may have gotten wind of two new and very hot developments:
1. There is about to be a monumental hip-hop movement in Tallahassee!
2. Alabama Blakk’s album, Street Preachin’, is just about ready for press – with a release date coming up in the very near future – and I had the honor of designing the cover!

Well, almost finally. I have to finish the paperwork to go with it but here’s part of the reason I’ve been so preoccupied (school really does suck sometimes) – a quick and ‘simple’ mock-up for a fake client’s website, my final for this session:
Before my ‘break’ ends, a bit more ‘work.’ I had to share something my mom sent me. I got a laugh. I know there’s another one like this floating around out there…somewhere. Now I’ll have to see if I can find it again, after I’m not so bogged down, perhaps…

THE SPOILED UNDER-30 CROWD!!!
When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking Twenty-five miles to school every morning….Uphill… barefoot… BOTH ways Yadda, yadda, yadda…
And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they’ve got it! But now that I’m over the ripe old age of thirty, I can’t help but look around and notice the youth of today.
I’ve been to so many hot shows in the last week. It’s been great fun!
I’m even back up and running, for the most part. Truck’s fixed, computer’s fixed, and I have a workhorse computer waiting for me to put it together. I may have to rearrange the desk, though. We’ll see.
I’m about to be in the final week of my classes for this session. After that, I’ve got a week to myself with (I hope) nothing to do but watch paint dry. I may seriously not leave the house unless I’m taking my munchkin to school. That would be an interesting experiment. And it’d give me all the time I’d need to get through a serious amount of video and other related things. (See, Mild…I need at least nine a day for a really, really long time…)
I hear tell the Space Jet Z is touching down at Down Below again next Wednesday (the 24th) so if I do go out it’ll be then.
I’m crossing my fingers for the hibernation, though!
